Friends of Abbotsweld Academy
Friends of Abbotsweld are a group of parents who help to raise money for the school by running some big and some small events throughout the year.
You can get involved in a number of ways and we welcome any help.
The type of events we run in school for the children are:
School Disco
Movie & Munch
Cake Sales
Summer Fete/Christmas Market
School uniform sale
These events are NOT organised by the school and without enough people helping, they cannot go ahead.
You don’t have to attend meetings to be a part of the Friends of Abbotsweld; we have a What’s App group set up where we can share ideas and pass on information.
In 2017 the Friends of Abbotsweld made a donation of over £1000 worth of books and wet play equipment for each class.
This year we are saving up for an outdoor learning garden
Jobs that we need our parents to help with include:
Typing letters, making posters, sharing ideas, helping to prepare for events, attending events, purchasing resources.
